Covid 19 vaccine for children

Children can get the COVID-19 vaccine when?

The vaccine will now be available to protect against COVID-19, we have taken a big step in the direction of the end of the pandemic.

There are 3 vaccines that have been approved for emergency use by adults only, and one that can be given to young people from 12 years of age or older. Currently, clinical trials are being carried out on children between the ages of six months.

Our research shows that vaccines are safe and effective. The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) is inviting children and adults, to get to the COVID-19 vaccine as soon as it is available to them. This is especially important with the increase of the cases are caused by variants of the viruses, which seem to be more contagious.

Prior to the COVID-19 vaccine could be made available to young children, and clinical trials need to be completed. This is necessary in order to make sure that they are safe and effective for this age group. For children, young adults, and we can't just assume that the vaccine will have to be a child, but it has the same effect on a person and as a parent. As soon as this information becomes available, the MONKEY will review and make recommendations for the vaccination of children and adolescents.

In the middle, high school, college, and students, who have two doses of the currently approved vaccine for children 12 years of age and older (Pfizer) can be injected through the 2021-22 school year. The timing of when the vaccine will be made available to the younger students and is based on the results of the clinical trials. But it seems to be the current pace of research, making it possible to get a vaccine for children in primary school and nursery school, as early as this year.
