Definition of gout


Gout is a metabolic disorder. It is characterized by a recurrent attack of acute pain and swelling at first affecting only one joint, usually the big toe, and later on, becomes poly articular with high uric acid level.

There could also be itching

Blood for acid, RE
St. X-ray over the affected area

 

Normal values range of URIC ACID

3 to 6 mg/dl

Management and foods to avoid


Rest

Avoid protein food

Hot or cold compression over the world may give relief to some extent

Moderate exercise

Foods
Red meat, spinach, cauliflower, cabbage, seeds. You can take everything but a little quantity and very infrequent. Red meat and spicy foods strongly restricted. Fatty food, another ingredient of gout.
